Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of tlcforum.org (the “Site”), operated by Traditional Literature for Children (“TLC”), a Wyoming nonprofit and 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. By using the Site, you agree to these terms.

Who can use TLC Forum

TLC Forum is intended for adult writers, illustrators, agents, publishers, and educators interested in wholesome, family-oriented children's literature. You must be at least 18 years old to register for membership or a critique group.

Content standards

TLC exists to support wholesome, family-oriented, innocent children's literature. Content submitted to TLC Forum — including critique group manuscripts, blog posts, and comments — must be appropriate for that mission. See our full Restrictions for details on what is and isn't permitted.

Community expectations

We ask every member to treat one another with respect and good faith. See our Code of Conduct and Anti-Harassment Policy for what that looks like in practice.

Intellectual property

You retain full ownership of any manuscript, artwork, or other content you submit to TLC Forum. By sharing content within a critique group or publishing it via TLC (e.g., as a registered blogger), you grant TLC a limited license to display that content on the Site for the purpose it was submitted. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you post.

Payments and memberships

Membership fees, event fees, and shop purchases are processed securely through Stripe. Membership subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Donations are non-refundable except where required by law.

Account termination

We may suspend or terminate access to TLC Forum for violations of these Terms, our Restrictions, or our Anti-Harassment Policy, at our discretion.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

TLC Forum is provided “as is.” TLC does not guarantee that any content shared on the Site — including advice given in critique groups or events — will lead to any particular publishing outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.
