TLC ForumTraditional Literature for Children

Code of Conduct

Last updated: July 2026

TLC Forum works because our members treat one another — and the craft of writing for children — with care. Here's what we expect from everyone in this community.

Be kind and constructive

Critique the work, not the person. Assume good faith, offer specific and actionable feedback, and remember that behind every manuscript is a writer who put real effort into it.

Stay true to our mission

Keep discussions and submitted content aligned with TLC's purpose: wholesome, family-oriented, innocent children's literature. See our Restrictions for specifics.

Respect confidentiality

Manuscripts and comments shared within a critique group are shared in trust. Don't share another member's unpublished work outside the group without their permission — see our Confidentiality Policy.

Show up in good faith

If you join a critique group or commit to an event, follow through — or let the group know if your plans change. A little courtesy goes a long way in a volunteer community.

Speak up if something's wrong

If you see behavior that doesn't reflect this Code of Conduct, please tell us. See our Anti-Harassment Policy for how to report a concern.
